A Day At The Market

This afternoon I finally went to the frutas y verduras (fruits and veggies) market with my host Mom! She had been wanting to take me and show me all the weird fruits and we finally made it happen today.
I loved seeing all the produce - brightly colored, fresh, and huge! Hah! This climate is amazing for growing certain fruits and vegetables, resulting in massive squashes (see below) and papayas!

That middle one was literally like 2 ft long!

Squash, Cauliflower, Green Beans, Peppers, Yucca, and Tomatoes

Tomatoes, Mandarines, and Bananas

Fresh herbs for no more than a dollar! They had Tarragon, Rosemary, Basil, Thyme, and one other on I didn't recognize.
